Herbert Brün's Reel to Reel Tape Collection

726 Audio Cassettes - not all are fully functional

These audio cassettes are delicate and are in the process of being digitized.
After Herbert's death in 2000, these tapes were moved to the Herbert Brün House from his University of Illinois office. Some were digitized by _______ who produced 15 (?) CDs that are all labelled "For Susan". A larger collection was then digitized by Paul Kotheimer; these tracks are now on a hard drive. Kotheimer also trained Andrew Heathwaite, who has digitized the greatest number of the reel-to-reel tapes to date. His digitized files are integrated with Kotheimer's on the two hard drives at the Herbert Brün House. Andrew also painstakingly re-labelled each and every tape as can be seen in the above photo there are little red, green, and blue boxes on the spines of the tape boxes. Each colored box contains a number and the numbers correspond to a master list of all the tapes.
