About Us

The Herbert Brün Society was founded in 2001 to disseminate the work of composer Herbert Brün (1918-2000). We are located at the Herbert Brün House in Urbana, Illinois, which includes a small performance venue and an archive of Brün’s work.

We offer concerts and other unique presentations, host a performance ensemble, compose & distribute relevant writings, and build interest in experimental composition.

We are connected to the School for Designing a Society.
